Well It seems that time management is an essential key to success, In my personal experience as a parent that uses a homeschool curriculum to educate, I've been using an ace timer I found over the web to manage my kid time so that he doesn't focus on one subject but in all with the same amount of time/attention.

I did it when I was 23 as well - but to a much smaller city than NYC. Made friends easily at work, church, the park, grocery store, etc. I found it a rewarding experience.

One thing I did (which may sound weird) is leave a note on my kitchen table if I ever went out walking/jogging just in case something ever happened to me, people would know where to start looking. I was single at the time and I guess it made me feel better to do that.

I occasionally felt lonely and dated a few people that I wouldn't have normally spent a lot of time with to compensate for that, but I learned a lot about myself and about being independent.

Best of luck to you.

Your work history shows that you don't stay long at any job... which is not always a good thing!

Hello,

The letter of application looks quite OK, but it contains a lot of cliches such as "I personally strive for excellence". It will have more weight if you can provide some examples.

In your CV, you didn't clearly state where you are working and what the functions of the current job are. It is also helpful if you put the "Experience/Work Experience" section first only then followed by education etc.

Just a bit of those minor tweaks can greatly improve your chances. Best of luck with your job hunting!

Whilst it is good to protect a lot of forest areas for posterity and in order not to disturb some of the wildlife too much there is a lot of hype talked about the rainforest.

Aforestation is not just bad it is tremendously damaging to the earths climate. This is because the trees are removed and the carbon/oxygen cycle with them. Hungry crops are then grown that denude the soil in a few years leaving it infertile and prone to erosion.

But virgin forest is not the blessing that many ecologists would have us believe!

It has now been shown that whilst young growing trees consume a large amount of carbon and give of smaller amounts of oxygen.- older trees actually reverse the process and can become carbon emitters!

It would therefore make more sense to use some forests as a renewable resource. This would have three benefits. (1) it would ensure a continuous supply of carbon eating, oxgen producing young trees. (2). It would provide work and income for locals therefore obviating the need for them to chop down trees to grow food. (3) it would provide a truly green supply of good timber and biofuel.

Hi Poonam,

Your detailed daily routine already speaks of your good time management. I think you are already into this Trap as everyone in the world over.

What I suggest is that On weekends just plan some trip away from the city and I bet You will enjoy and love your Job.

All the Best

A person needs to achieve certain goals in life before they can call themselves successful, which I want to become. I have set certain goals that I would like to achieve in my lifetime. Some of these goals are professional, while others are personal. My professional goals in life are to get a good education, find a good job that makes me happy and makes enough money for me to support my family and my future family, and of course graduation from college. Now, that I’m going to college I can now achieve some of my personal goals in life as a student at The Art Institute of Philadelphia.

Personal growth, success in the media arts and animation field is a new life adventure for me as a student attending college. I really want a job in video game development; this is my all time big career dream. Playing video games is what inspired me to to go to college so I can get a career in developing video games. So, video games was the first step for my career. My next big step would be making them. I know the industry is growing, and the job opportunity well never fade

.
I believe my job fields require a descent education. If I don’t have an education I would not be able to function properly at the work place, which means I would not understand what to do. To maintain a good job that will make good money which will require me to go through schooling and training. Education is the first and foremost way to become successful, the job I choose needed a good college education. I will try my best.

I expect my education in media arts and animation will really help me bring all my thoughts and ideas to life with the right training. Doing something that I love and that would be fun, is a huge part of life to me. My happiness is a really important goal for me in my life. I see myself as a top performing employee in a well established organization, like video game development itself. I plan on enhancing my skills and continuing my involvement in related professional associations. Once I gain additional experience, my dream would be getting to move on from a nominal position to management.

One day I want to become a CEO of my very own video game company and still produce my ideas through the experience that I will gain in my education in media arts and animation. In the society that we live in now, having a college degree is very important to me. So far so good, I love my major. It’s everything that I expect it to be and more. All my classes are well put together and I will never give up on hope for this career, I like pushing myself to the limits. It’s brings out who I truly am, and it helps me realize what my weaknesses are so that I may work on them and achieve more in life.

I thought it SOunded good except for the part when you say ect. I would recommend not saying that in a professional letter. Because people look at that as a shortcut in writing so you do not have to write as much. Other than that I thought it was really good.By the way nice accomplishments.

For the part that needs a finished statement I would finish it by saying-Through this job, I applied my accounting theory in a real-world environment... which has helped me open my mind to future possibility for the furthering of education in this field.

I actually like having the paper. If I keep things on the PC all the time they tend to get past me. The Outlook (or in my case GroupWise) task lists just aren't "in yer face" enough. I have a folder labeled "pending" and it has something in it related to every thing I'm working on. First thing in the morning I go through it to see what needs to be done or what element I can complete. I try to keep it in priority order so what's on top is the hottest.

Luckily I haven't had a lot of niggling details on this job, but I just got assigned another doctor (I provide academic support at a medical school), and he's got his fingers in a lot more pies than my other two, so it may change. I may be coming to you for help!

Have you tried "The Texas Dep't of Labor?" You can post a resume on there(web-site) and match your job skills and criteria to get daily posts(job listings) in many ways. It is easy to do on-line, even better is to go to your local office and talk to a counselor, they are good people, and are very nice. They will really help you, if u r serious about finding a job.
Check out www.state.tx.us.com/labor, or the newspapers(Houston Chronicle & Houston Post) on or off-line.... Good Hunting
